During the test, you will begin cycling at a relatively low intensity. As the test progresses, the resistance will gradually increase until you reach maximum effort, following a special JHCOACHVELO protocol.

The progressive test will provide you with the following information :

  • Aerobic/anaerobic threshold

  • Lactate thresholds

  • Power-to-weight ratio

  • Maximum Aerobic Power

  • Training zones in watts and heart rate

  • FTP - PC

PERFORMANCE TESTS

JHCOACHVELO offers performance tests on home trainers to adjust your physical preparation accordingly. These tests are essential to determine your initial MAP (Maximum Aerobic Power), then your FTP (Functional Threshold Power), and other assessments such as PC (Critical Power) sessions to validate training zones (5 zones) and other more specific effort thresholds.
